Some years ago I had the pleasure of working on a project with the artist Christopher Shy called The Proof of Metal. I had taken some very basic ideas he had about sentient metal beings (kind of like golems) in a fantasy setting and created a world around them. We were on track to do a comic series, but that didn't pan out for one reason or another and the whole thing fell by the wayside.

Since the setting I created for the project was entirely my own to do with as I saw fit, I haven't ever let go of it and have kept the ideas I had for the comic in the back of my head. And just to let off some of my creative steam I scripted the first of six issues so I can at least say I wrote something in the series.

So you can feel free to download the script in PDF format and enjoy. I doubt I will ever have the opportunity to tell the full story of The Proof of Metal, nor will I work with Shy (who's gone on to bigger and better things) again, so this is as good as it gets.
